Rosemary and Tia-Serena began training in the art of Middle Eastern dance as students of Samay, an internationally known professional Middle East dance artist, instructor and choreographer at Miami Dade College in 2005. They have had the honor of learning from well-renowned instructors locally and internationally (including Samay, Shivanna, Xiomara, Hamada, and many more). Both Rosemary and Tia-Serena were invited to join the World Dance Ensemble in 2007, directed by Shivanna and known to incorporate a fusion of hip-hop, Belly Dance, Indian Dance, African Dance, Flamenco and Salsa. Since 2005 they have performed in a number of shows including three Miami Dade College's Bellydance Shows, Joharah International Hafla's, weddings, and many corporate and charity events.Along with their Middle Eastern dance accomplishments, they are also college graduates. Rosemary completed her Master's in Psychology from Florida International University in 2006 and is currently pursuing her license in Mental Health Counseling. Tia-Serena completed her Bachelor's of Science in Mass Communications & Broadcast Journalism from Florida International University in 2003 and is currently expanding her knowledge in videography and web design. The passion they have for Belly Dance has resulted in travels to Egypt, where they attended the Ahlan Wa Sahlan International Belly Dance festival, as well as Jordan. Rosemary and Tia-Serena plan to continue evolving as dancers, instructors and performers and their goal is to share with their students the beauty and respect that this art form has to offer.
